Music is Art and Good Memories

I have written a little bit for Music is Art as part of a series called Song/Context/Result where you explain how a song of your choice resonates with you and is associated with a particular time and place. I have gone all sappy again, I’m afraid. It seems that Toad is reserved for cynical bluster and the sentimental claptrap can only leak out on other people’s blogs.
It’s here, for those of you who are interested. I’d go if I were you because Music is Art is absolutely gorgeous – the design of the blog itself is lovely and Danielle liberally peppers her music and musings with some of the finest pictures I’ve seen in a while. I particularly love quality illustrations, although it’s not something I really include here on Song, by Toad, so if you’d like your fix then Music is Art is the place to go.

A sweet story, and with naughty bits as well! And such happy faces on the wedding day. You’re right about the artwork on Music is Art. I was interested to hear about your love for illustration. Growing up in Austria I wonder whether you’re familiar with Lisbeth Zwerger. If you’re ever in the States I suggest you check out the Delaware Museum of Art. Wonderful collection of American illustration, as well as the Pre-Raphaelites:

I’d never even heard of her, but a quick Google image search is enough – what a gorgeous style she has.
And yes, if I remember one thing from our wedding it’s that half-arsed and a little disorganised as it was, it was an amazingly happy occasion. Which is, I suppose, the point.
thankyou so much for the kinds words
that really means alot.
