Is This a Good Idea?
Well since I created it I have already had a sarcastic comment from China suggesting that it may not be (curses, mutter, sulk sulk…), but I thought I’d give it a go. I have created a Song, by Toad Facebook Group, which you are all cordially invited to join.
Basically, the plan was to have somewhere you lot can squabble amongst yourselves, make recommendations to me and each other, and for me to post the stupid shit I sometimes see, but don’t think merit an entire post of their own. The other thing I thought is that it might give those of us who are so inclined the option to get involved a little bit more. Some people feel a little shy about leaving comments, or so they have told me, so hopefully it might lessen that a little, too. I can put some of the interesting news stories I find from time to time as well, but I don’t know – I guess if I maintain it properly then it might be quite a good laugh, so we’ll give it a go shall we?
So, given I haven’t done this for a bit, how about some songs from my all-time musical heroes then? It’s been ages since I posted Nick Cave or Tom Waits on here, so what better excuse? It may be focussed on the new and the up-and-coming here at Song, by Toad, but a pathological love for these muppets is what both underpins and drives the whole enterprise. So there.

Tsk tsk China. I can barely read this post it’s so tearstained. Matthew’s only flesh and bone, for fuck’s sake. In any event, I’ve joined. That’s me in the bucolic setting with the devestating red sweater (or jumper or whatever) and the fambly. Egads. Looks like a fucking Christmas card.
Go on, blame the devil’s advocate, then! If it means anything, I was the first to join the flesh and bone’s Facebook group (albeit, I could have just been the first of us to check my e-mail, but nonetheless).
I’m sure it can’t be nearly as gay as it sounds…..so count me in!
If you weren’t such a bunch of sarcastic bastards I wouldn’t love you all as much as I do!
We’ll see how it goes. I get the impression you have to maintain these things more carefully than most people seem prepared to, so I’ll stick at it and if it works out then splendid.
