This release stirs more excitement in Toad Hall than many a 7-incher I could mentioned, not least because Mrs. Toad is an avid fan of the truly brilliant Wave Pictures. I’ve mentioned them quite recently, so the fact that they have a new single approaching should fill you all with the same delight that I feel.

Officially released on Moshi Moshi on the 10th March and can – no, should – be pre-ordered here. If you want to pre-order the album, and let’s face it unless you’re some sort of music-hating Radio 2 fondler then you do, then go here and turn out your pockets. There’s even a great big stash of free Wave Pictures downloads available. I am positively moist with excitement!

The single is called I Love You Like a Madman, and quite what someone with David Tatersall’s bare, idiosyncratic lyrical genius is going to make of a title like that I can only speculate, but it should be fucking marvellous whatever it is. I have downloaded and pre-ordered until my Paypal account begged for mercy.
