Josh is astounding. The first two albums are honest, raw brilliance. The third album is superb but a lot less DIY sounding. After that it started to get a little bit dull. Check out Girl In The War though, from The Animal Years. If that’s ‘banal tosh’ then you don’t deserve your ears.

And Mike Herron of Incredible String Band infamy is playing as part of the Ceilidh doo dah thing the same night. But it’s a tenner. And attendance would only be out of curiosity.
