Just stumbled upon The Tallest Man On Earth - 'Shallow Grave', this album's a bit good.

Oh right.

Well, I'm back down over Christmas. When I win I'll just pop round and pick the stuff up.

Cheers!

Well, yes, Dylan, so's we can get your address & everything. Otherwise, should you win, it's unlikely 'Dylan, Edinburgh' is going to get to you. See?

Do I really have to email in my answer to the Sŵn competition?

What, have you got, like, independent adjudicators or something?

Well they haven't done more than small tours here and there, but if there's someone around who might be able to nudge them in the direction of a friendly promoter, that would help a lot. Under those circumstances I would have thought an interview would be the very least you'd get out of it, and quite probably a session too, depending on travel and time.

Cheers, Toad.

I spent quite a bit of time getting the logo sorted because I really wasn't sure how best to represent the show. As it happens I was inspired by the green & the grey in last week's flyer image. Then I saw a logo for a German radio station which has a slightly different shade of green & grey to the one I used, & ba-da-bing I had the basis of an idea.

It will all get spiffier. I wasn't going to unveil it until New Year, but I am an impatient fuck & was excited by the new stuff. So up it went at stupid o'clock. There'll be a new bits & pieces on the site + the myspace & facebook pages in the next few days.

All this, as I said, wasn't supposed to happen until next year: new web design, new logo, new myspace/facebook, new theme tune + new format for the show. Instead, the visual stuff will slowly appear & the audio stuff will happen next year.

Take your point on the chatter per song/tune ratio, but this one was a little looser than normal. We recorded it on Wednesday Eve before publishing, so it was a little unstructured (on purpose, of course). What I want to make sure I don't do is turn into Fab FM or equivalent — I don't like the whole track/banter/track/banter/track/track/banter/track bollocks. It seems very engineered & staged. I do like it when we get carried away & rabbit on, but I am also aware there develops a gulf between music recognition & self indulgence (albethey both accidental).

We'll get there, though.

As for Clarissa, well (<i>best Anthony Hopkins impersonation ahoy!</i>), send her over to my tent with a newborn lamb & a bottle of Chianti *slaver* *slaver* *drool*

Seriously, though, I really like her voice (& I did know it was Bart's little baby) & it would be interesting (for me) to bash something out with them (fnarr),

Christ, mate. She's called Clarissa and she's as nice as she is capable, and very pretty indeed as well, but she might appreciate it if you'd stop humping her leg. ;-)

You do know that's Bart's band, don't you? I never know how obvious these things are if no-one specifically tells you.

The new website is looking really snappy, isn't it. I love the great big list of flyers. And ME! I'm on there - cheers!

Can I make a suggestion? If you run so many songs together it's hard to put the chatter and, more importantly, the song names together with the right tunes - more, shorter breaks might help. Just my tuppence worth though. And given you actually post the playlists now, probably not worth paying attention to.

Jazz Singer was dead nice, and I like Fredrik too. Top stuff DC.
