Umm, yes that one might have to go as well, but 'He Thought Of cars' 'Yuko and hiro' 'Fade away' and that's before you consider the singles. What i think it suffers from is the increasing feeling at the time that an album had to be an hour long, which is one of the many downsides of the CD era, and bands started filling CDs. Which is why the first two strokes albums being able to fit onto a single CD seems almost ridiculous...

The Great Escape even has a track with a voiceover by Ken Livingstone. I'll leave you to decide whether that's a good thing or not...

I genuinely think the Great Escape is a good album, though 'Topman' should have been left off, two or three tracks removed -say, 'Dan Abnormal' as well, it would have been a different album.

Choosing between Leisure and The Great Escape really is like asking someone which bollock they'd prefer to be kicked in, but later album did have the utterly sublime The Universal, one of the band's best moments, in amongst all the turgid shite.

1. Blur's Leisure is their weakest (yes, weaker than the Great Escape) and I agree with all those folk who have said the Beta band's debut as well. Also, good as the title track was, I think 'In the City' by the Jam is weak, as was the follow-up 'This Is the Modern World. Those were the days - bands got the chance on major labels to get their act together...

2. Make snowmen or go sledging. haven;t done the latter in years, mind...

3. Three. I may be many things but I'm not an Imelda Marcos wannabe.

4. I agree with the person who said Derek Dick.

5. There are still a couple of Minidiscs hanging around. Vinyl obviously (not including the separate vinyl sizes LP, 10", 7", 12" etc..), cassette, CD, mp3 (and one or two things in WMA), I still haven't got my head round torrents.

I'm not changing that, even if I have to take all my meals intravenously for the rest of my life.

1. Fleetwood Mac - not my fave until Lindsay/Buckingham came along, sorry.
2. Go inside and watch it fall from the comfort of a comfy duvet, basking in the afterglow
3. 7, really. And two of them because I had to go to weddings and fancy dinners which I hate dressing for anyway, gah.
4. Phish - stupid band too
5. Mp3, mp4, flac, ogg, wmv, mp4r, cassettes, cds. Tho I try to translate everything to mp3 and I really do think mp4 sounds better.
