Ed - no worries at all. The first people will go out at about ten or so, do an hour (more if you can be arsed/fancy it) and then hand over to the others.

Tim - I disagree with Dylan. He embodies the sort of sober thoughtfulness and general profundity of utterance which makes this website a haven for the internet's intellectuals and the true home of insightful debate.

Except when he's being a fucking smart-arse, that is.

I'm only kidding Tim.

I can't criticise anyone for poorly thought out comments on here!

Although let's not put Lighthouse Family on there..

It's alright Dylan, both of my suggestions were pretty facetious and poorly thought out.

heh heh! Glad Madonna and erasure would be okay. I keep thinking of Waterboys songs, then realise that it's at risk of getting over-egged, so I might go with 'the Drowning Man' by The Cure, unless that was felt to be inappropriate.

Could I come for the early bit nearer ten? Ed

Lighthouses, however, Dylan, are indeed very relevant so that Lighthouse Family song would qualify under the relevance rule.

Its major stumbling block, as you suggest, would be the 'no songs on my podcast which make me want to puncture my eardrums with knitting needles, stamp on cute fluffy kittens and kick a few kids in the head just to make them cry' rule.

There have to be rules, Tom. For without rules there is no order, and where there is no order, there is anarchy.

And you wouldn't want that, would you?
