this was available long before If You Leave it Alone – it’s been on sale as a CD-R from the band’s website for quite a while….I really like it.

Lee – yes, it is a little sluggish in parts. But if you can isolate those there are some truly lovely bits as well.

Agnes – yes, me too. It’s the kind of song I can play again and again and again without getting bored.

I quite like the name ‘Dan Of Green Gables’ too, and your mention of the gorgeous violin was enough to make me download these without playing them first – I’ll be off to have a listen shortly.

to be honest, kind of a bore

nothing ever seems to go anywhere (not that all music MUST, though I’m partial to that which does) but variety, within individual songs, is lacking.

that wave pictures song is real good. the violin piece, as you mentioned is *something* (a really good *something* at that)

Were the tracks on this album not written before ‘If You Leave It Alone’? I only ask because this album was available before ‘If You Leave It Alone’, wasn’t it?

Still not digging the ’round’ and ‘friendly’ bass of ‘If You Leave It Alone’, Matty-pops? And the brass? I’d take that album out for a drink. It would be a warm, fun night.

I’d been meaning to check this release out when I first heard about it. Thanks for the reminder!
