Toad on Fresh Air – 25th November 2009
Yes, it’s Fresh Air time again, and Ruth is back from the bring of death and ready to chatter away once more. This week we have Russell from Mammoeth playing live in session for us. He has an album out on Mini50 Records some time in the relatively near future, so we may try an weasel a preview out of him if we can.
We’ve also got some interesting new stuff – Eels released a new song from their forthcoming album just the other day, and we’ll be playing the phenomenal new eagleowl single as well. We are recording a Toad Session with them in December, which is also really fucking brilliant news.

Hey Matthew, this is Igor, I hope you get this in time. I just went to the studio and found that it was locked and nobody answered to my very loud and incessant knocking. The people at the bar said the key was out however, and they had 3 freshair cards behind the desk. I know you usually bring people into the studio for a live set so I wanted to save you the trouble/disappointment. I already emailed the station manager to see what the deal is. I guess ill see you next week!

Sorry people, some fuckwit locked us out of the studio for half an hour and managed to turn the bloody station off. We did get in towards the end though, and Russell played three excellent session tracks. I have to confess I don’t even know if the bloody thing actually went out on air at all which is incredibly frustrating.
