Haarfest 2010 Video Diary – Day 5
Due to a hectic Saturday driving from Anstruther to Edinburgh to Glasgow and then back to Edinburgh and out again to Anstruther this is the last of the Haarfest video diaries.
I woke up with a proper fucking head on me, and went to sleep plastered at four or something after being ambushed by late night at the Smugglers on the way home.
Due to collecting Mrs. Toad from the station we ended up missing most of Meursault, although we did get there in time for a gorgeous version of Martin Kippenberger, helped greatly by Malcolm from eagleowl. Â The Oates Field were good, and Withered Hand (new songs – NEW SONGS!) and FOUND (ditto!) were absolutely immense. And that beer they were serving all weekend, well…!

Haarfest looks fun in a slightly hippy-cliquey way. Found sounded great..!
I’ve enjoyed this wee series. So I thought I’d let you know.
New Songs???!!!!!
squeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Karlossus. It’s been really tricky to figure out how much it comes across as self-indulgent wank and how much people do actually find the things entertaining. But I suppose the people who find them annoying are unlikely to be bothered to stick around and tell me.
Tarticles – yes, work on the new album is underway apparently, and Dan is a little tired of the alt-folk tag these days and is getting a lot punkier, from what little I could tell. Yum yum yum!
Hah ! The Oates Field “To The Sea” was on heavy rotation yesterday as I returned to the city.
Shame I could not do my hippy pogo to “I Won’t Want You” but then get enough of an airing at the Gummi Bako and Kid Canaveral shows.
These memories have been great, Matthew.
Glad to make your acquaintance and feature on the Pigeon Scoffing clip etc.
