King Post Kitsch – Don’t You Touch My Fucking Honeytone
Well it’s been a while since we announced an actual, real new release on Song, by Toad Records but here is one for you: the debut single from King Post Kitsch, called Don’t You Touch my Fucking Honeytone.
The song comes out on Monday on a rather special, limited edition four-song white 7″, with a free download code, and I will be posting pre-orders tomorrow. The title actually has nothing to do with the song itself, but the guitar on his debut album The Party’s Over, which this single is from, was all recorded on a tiny wee Danelectro Honeytone, so I suppose there’s sort of a connection, tenuous as it might be.
And erm, also… er, just buy one. Please. You can do that here.
King Post Kitsch – Don’t You Touch My Fucking Honeytone by Song, by Toad

I’m sick of telling you this (do you remember? You’ve been pissed every time) but whenever I pop the promo copy – that someone left at ours – either on in the car, or when we have people round, someone always asks who it is and they end up loving it. Anyway I really fucking like it, and if I’ve enough pennies I may have to pre-order it.
Well I think if you want a pop smash you should reconsider putting the word ‘fucking’ in the title, but otherwise, pop gold, dammit!
Gimme gimme gimme!
Give me half a day longer and that shall be arranged.
Love it!!
Is the album finished?
The album is indeed finished and sent to manufacture. Looking mighty tasty too, if you ask me. But then I would say that.
Not what I expected but definitely a nice surprise.
Yeah, the whole album is much more of a rock ‘n’ roll record than his previous EPs. In a good way though
BTW – the two EPs that he did before he signed to you (not including the Bandcamp release from this year)…I know these were downloadable; but were they from his website or from somewhere else, ‘cos after posting on it last night I couldn’t find them…
They’ve been taken down, because a few of them are on the album or the single.
Song, by Toad: recycling tedious, worn-out material since 2008.
Just wondering any where in Edinburgh i could physically pick the 7″ up as i’m not advanced enough to buy things over t’internet.
Thanks
I’ll be dropping some off at Avalanche on Monday, so that should do the trick.
[...] As I mentioned, the new song is out today. You can listen to Don’t You Touch My Fucking Honeytone and buy it here. [...]
