The final show in our installment of posh gigs at the truly awesome Henderson’s at St. John’s is taking place this Saturday the 17th November, and the lineup is bloody awesome. Tickets are £3 cheaper in advance too, so I strongly recommend picking them up beforehand if you fancy coming along.
We have the awesome Broken Records playing, who have been one of my favourite bands around for years now, and one of the few occasions where I genuinely allow myself the indulgence of saying that I sort of helped discover them. I’ve never really dared ask to put them on before though, but in such a nice venue and with it being my birthday an all, as Doc Brown might say, I figured what the heck.
Joining them on the bill will be one of my favourite discoveries of this year, LeThug, with one of my favourite discoveries of last year, Easter. LeThug are a strongly electronic, quite shoegazey band, whereas Easter operate in more epic American indie rock territory. It’s a really strong lineup – or at least I (rather inevitably) think it is – and a fine way for me to celebrate my 37th birthday. Assuming celebrate is what you’re supposed to do when the numbers in question creep this high.
