Lush Purr Album and New Single

Described by Sweeping the Nation, possibly the UK’s longest-running music blog, as “Concise, noisy, inscrutable lo-fi psych-fuzz a-go-go”, Lush Purr’s debut album Cuckoo Waltz comes out on Song, by Toad Records on the 5th May 2017 on vinyl and download.

A bit like The Leg, they don’t mess about, and it’s a short, sharp collection of scrappy, hugely infectious pop songs from a band I’ve been stalking for several years, including since they first released a slightly different mix of these songs as a limited edition cassette on the fantastic Glasgow label Fuzzkill.

You can pre-order the album here, and have a listen to the first single (I Admit It) I’m a Gardener by playing the video above. The band have a good few live dates coming up too, so have a look here and see if there’s anything you fancy attending:

Lush Purr + Yous – The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow tickets
Lush Purr + Meursault – The Eagle Inn, Manchester tickets
Focus Wales – Rock Suite, Wrexham tickets
Lush Purr + Meursault – More Music, Morecambe tickets
Lush Purr + Meursault – JT Soar, Nottingham tickets
Lush Purr + Plastic Animals – Leith Depot, Edinburgh tickets
Lush Purr + Savage Mansion – Venue TBC, Glasgow tickets
Lush Purr + Spinning Coin + Sean Nicholas Savage – The Glad Cafe, Glasgow tickets

Oh, and while you’re here, LOOK HOW EXCELLENT THE FUCKING VINYL LOOKS!
